The TimeSaver Dashboard

The TimeSaver dashboard gives you a quick status of:

  1. whether TimeSaver is properly connected and configured,
  2. any applicable to-do tips (related to connecting or keeping your configuration up-to-date)
  3. when TimeSaver last checked and last synced data
  4. and whether your subscription is current.

The TimeSaver Menus and Setup Process

TimeSaver has to be configured correctly before it can start syncing data between Toggl and QuickBooks. That means completing the following process:

  1. Set up your App Connections (i.e. you need to set up a connection to Toggl and one to QuickBooks Online)
  2. Specify your global Settings. These settings control how the time entries look when synced to QuickBooks.
  3. User Xrefs tells TimeSaver how to cross reference Toggl users to QuickBooks vendors or employees.
  4. Client Xrefs tells TimeSaver how to cross reference Toggl clients to QuickBooks customers (applicable for billable time entries).

Note that these steps are all available as menu items on the left hand side of the dashboard. When you first log in, only the App Connections menu will be enabled because the other menus depend on App Connections to be established first. Connecting to Toggl and to QuickBooks will allow you to complete the Settings and the cross-referencing processes. This is designed to be a top-to-bottom process; complete the top steps first and continue down the menus.

The Profile and Billing menus allow you to change your profile (contact) information as well as modify your subscription information. These menus are always enabled. If you need to update your credit card, you can do that on the Billing menu. If you want to suspend or cancel your subscription, simply remove all Payment Methods on the Billing screen and your TimeSaver subscription will be suspended automatically.

The Tools menu gives you the ability to:

  1. manually trigger a sync of eligible Toggl time entries to QuickBooks Online
  2. search and tag/untag time entries in Toggl (tagging controls sync behavior).
  3. search and mass-delete time entries in Quickbooks Online

Remember, though, with great power comes great responsibility!
